Zara Walker joined chambers in October 2024, bringing with her a diverse and dynamic practice developed at the independent Bar. Her experience spans a wide range of areas, including criminal law and human rights. This breadth has honed her skills as a versatile and highly experienced advocate, adept at navigating various legal environments.

Known for her competence and tenacity, Zara is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. She accepts instructions on a Direct Access basis, offering clear and empathetic guidance to clients through often emotionally challenging proceedings.

Zara’s expertise covers all aspects of family law, with a focus on private law and divorce proceedings. She frequently handles high-conflict cases, including those involving parental alienation, and has advised on internal and international relocation applications. Zara’s experience with jury trials in the Crown Court has provided her with the skills to manage complex fact-finding hearings with confidence and precision.

A graduate of the University of the West of England, Zara completed her Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) with an Outstanding grade, achieving top marks in several subjects across both the full-time and part-time cohorts. She is also a Lord Denning Scholar at Lincoln’s Inn. Following her studies, Zara was invited to return to the University as an Associate Lecturer, where she taught criminal litigation and advocacy, further enhancing her legal acumen and teaching credentials.

Complaints procedures. Our complaints procedures are available to the lay client as well as those organisations directly instructing a member of Pendragon Chambers. VAT details are available upon request and are provided on our initial acknowledgement letter which is generated upon receipt of your Brief or instruction to Counsel. It is also provided upon our fee note to our client.
