Called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2025, Duncan has a well-established background in public law children work, with extensive experience advising and working with local authorities in complex care and legal proceedings.
He has developed particular expertise in advising Children’s Services on urgent child protection issues and navigating complex evidential frameworks in high-risk cases.
Duncan has experience in complex matters involving non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, and Deprivation of Liberty (DOLS). He is adept at working both independently and as part of a wider counsel team in serious and fact-sensitive cases.
He has worked across multiple jurisdictions, demonstrating adaptability and strong case management skills in fast-paced and demanding legal environments.
