Jessica is a County Court Advocate at LPC Law where she attends a variety of different civil law hearings across South Wales. Alongside this, Jessica also works as a Victim Support Caseworker at the National Contact Centre, providing emotional and practical assistance to those impacted by crime.
Raised in Cardiff, with a Portuguese background, Jessica is fluent in both English and Portuguese. She remained in the city to study Law at Cardiff University and obtained a First-Class Honours degree.
In acknowledgement of her potential and motivation at the Bar, Jessica was awarded the Access to the Bar award by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2023. Jessica was also in receipt of both the Harmsworth and Blackstone Exhibition scholarships from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple which allowed her to go onto study the BTC (LLM) at Cardiff University where she achieved a Very Competent. Jessica achieved a Distinction in her Masters.
Jessica strongly believes in access to justice. During her studies she was regularly involved with Pro-Bono placements such as volunteering for Support Through Court by providing advice and support to those going through the family and civil courts alone. Jessica also volunteered as a Contributor to The Justice Gap where she wrote articles aimed at breaking down legal issues to the general public and making the law more accessible.
Outside the courtroom, Jessica is a keen gym-goer and particularly enjoys weight-lifting. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys baking and cooking for her friends and family, especially when using traditional Portuguese recipes as a means to stay connected to her roots.
