Robert commenced a mixed Family and Civil pupillage with Pendragon Chambers in September 2018 under the supervision of Sara Rudman. He has gained a wealth of experience in private and public law children and financial settlements cases; as well as gaining experience in small claim trials, fast track trials, stage 3 MOJ hearings, credit hire and infant approval hearings.
Robert was brought up in Cardiff and attended Whitchurch High School and Coleg Glan Hafren. He was awarded scholarships from the European Social Fund, Welsh Assembly Government and Aberystwyth University to complete his LL.B and LL.M studies at Aberystwyth University.
Whilst studying at Aberystwyth, Robert was an active member of the Mooting Society and held positions of responsibility which included: Mooting Society President, Chair of the Aberystwyth University Innocence Project and Citizen’s Advice Bureau Advisor.
The Honorable Society of the Inner Temple awarded Robert an Exhibition Award and Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship to complete his BPTC studies at Cardiff University. Following the successful completion of this course, Robert spent three years working in investigative and management roles within the NHS in Wales. During this time, Robert completed an MSc at Swansea University and focused his dissertation on clinical negligence, specifically the Supreme Court decision in Montgomery v Lanarkshire  UKSC 11.
Following commencement of pupillage, Robert was interviewed by Inner Temple and subsequently awarded a Marshall Hall Trust Pupillage Award in October 2018.
Robert is currently accepting instructions in all Chambers’ areas of discipline.
